Projectmates is an owner-focused construction program management software. So how can we accommodate the Contractors who are using Procore, a contractor-focused construction software? Simple! Projectmates integrates with or connects to Procore to let your contractors pull information from Procore into Projectmates.
Linking your Procore account to your Projectmates account:
Before you can begin importing items from Procore into Projectmates, you must first link both of the accounts:
- Access your profile. This can be done by clicking My Profile if you are currently in the My Work or My Projects page. If you are already inside of a project, click on My Team > My Profile.
- In your Edit User Profile menu, click the External Credentials Tab.
- Click Get Access Token next to the Procore option. You will be prompted to login with your Procore account. Successfully logging in will establish a link between both accounts for importing.
Helpful Hint: Once linked, Get Access Token will be replaced by another one called Revoke Access Token, if you want to remove the link between your accounts.
How to import RFI items from Procore into Projectmates:
Step 1: Log into Projectmates.
- Drill into the project where you are working in Projectmates.
- Click on Const Mgmt tab to access the RFI tool.
- Access the RFI instance where you want to add Procore RFI items.
- Click All Items to access the RFI log page.
Step 2: Import RFI items from Procore.
- Click the Import… button and select Procore.
Helpful Hint: If this is your first time to connect Procore to Projectmates, you will receive a prompt to login to your Procore account. After successful login, your user profile will show that your Projectmates account is connected to Procore account.
- *Choose the Company from the drop-down list.
- *Enter part of the project name in the Project field.
Helpful Hint: As you type the list of available projects that match your criteria will display. Alternatively, you can click the Select Project link for a list if you have fewer than 15 projects.
- Click Fetch RFIs to get a list of RFIs from Procore.
Helpful Hint: RFIs that are already imported into Projectmates will display with an Open link.
- Click the Import link next to the desired RFIs to pull it into Projectmates.
- Imported RFIs are saved in Draft mode. Select required fields and click Save & Finalize.
- Once an RFI has been closed, you can post a response back to Procore by accessing the RFI and clicking Post Response to Procore.
How to import Submittal items from Procore into Projectmates:
Step 1: Log into Projectmates.
- Drill into the project where you are working in Projectmates.
- Click on Const Mgmt tab to access the Submittals tool.
- Access the Submittal instance where you want to add Procore submittal items.
- Click All Items to access the submittal log page.
Step 2: Import Submittal items from Procore.
- Click Create new item link.
- Enter a Description for the submittal.
- Click the Import… button and select Procore.

- Click Fetch Submittals link to get a list of Submittals from Procore.
Helpful Hint: Submittals that are already imported into Projectmates will display with an Open link.
- Click Import next to desired submittal to pull it into Projectmates. If you have setup a submittal register, it will automatically attach the submittal item to submittal register item based on spec section number and description. If the item does not exist, a new submittal register item will be created.
- When you have finished your selection, click the Back To Submittal link.
- Select required fields and click Save & Finalize.
Helpful Hint: Steps marked with an asterisk (*) above will remember the previous setting when you go to import additional items from Procore into Projectmates, so you will be able to skip these unless the selection has changed.
